Restart the PC and check for issue resolution.

Locate the 'Remote Procedure Call (RPC)' in the list.

Also, make sure the Startup Type set as Automatically as well If it is not enabled/started, make sure to enable/start the service.

Locate the 'Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)' in the list.

Also, make sure the Startup Type set as Automatically from its properties.

Locate the 'Shell Hardware Detection' in the list.

Press the 'windows key' + 'r' to get the 'Run' window open.

Please verify the following OS services are enabled and try scanning again: WIA is a component of Windows OS which helps in scanning.
